Maria’s representation focused on deportation defense, federal litigation related to immigration detention, and affirmative filings for survivors of crimes and abuse.
Maria is a proud immigrant who, as a DACA recipient, understands the struggles immigrants face on a day-to-day basis. Maria’s passion for immigration stems from her own personal struggles as an immigrant herself. Prior to law school, Maria became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in order to make her dream of becoming an attorney possible. Maria graduated from Texas A&M School of Law with Magna Cum Laude honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif, a prestigious legal honor for students who graduated in the top ten percent of their graduating class.
